Jets Have Underwhelming Receiver Talent
The wide receiver position features less than stellar talent at the receiver position for the New York Jets. There will undoubtedly be a need to bring in more impactful options heading into the 2021 season.
Right now, the top veteran options the Jets have include Jamison Crowder and Breshad Perriman. They are respectable talents in the NFL but they are nowhere near ideal for playing such prominent roles within an offense that aims to be successful.
The hope is that Denzel Mims–the No. 59 overall selection in the 2020 NFL Draft–will manage to tap into his potential and be ready to hold a more prominent role in the offense in his second season.
Even if Mims were to solidify himself as one of the top receiving options in the Jets’ offense for the 2021 season, there would still be a need to add more supporting talent. With Mims’ versatility, signing AJ Green would bring more size to the receiver position and make for some intriguing options.
