Perriman Will Be A Free Agent

Breshad Perriman showed intriguing potential with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in 2019. The New York Jets signed him to a one-year deal to see if he can build off what he had shown to be capable of achieving.

Playing alongside arguably the NFL’s top wide receiver duo–Chris Godwin and Mike Evans–Perriman was able to have a career-year in 2019. He finished with 36 receptions, 645 yards, and six touchdown grabs.

There is a statistical inflation that comes with playing in an offense like the Bucs considering they chucked the ball downfield so often. With that came a mere 52.2% catch rate.

It’s no guarantee any player who becomes a free agent returns to their team. Perriman is no exception, especially if he has a strong 2020 season. There would be plenty of teams interested in his serves if that were to occur.
