Legendary NFL Analyst Shares Massive Statement On Packers’ Jordan Love

Jordan Love, Packers
NFL Analysis Network

Expectations and predictions for Green Bay Packers starting quarterback Jordan Love have been relatively tepid this offseason. There aren’t many people who have much confidence in the team finding success this season as he remains a mystery to many.

The first-round pick in the 2020 NFL Draft out of Utah State doesn’t have much of a track record to go off of in the NFL. He spent the first three seasons of his career backing up Aaron Rodgers, making 10 appearances with one start and 83 pass attempts.

A majority of the time we have seen Jordan Love on the field has been in the Packers’ preseason games. That will change in 2023, as he is the unquestioned starter. That comes with a ton of pressure as he is looking to carry on the standard of Hall of Fame play that has been going on in Green Bay for 30 years, following in the footsteps of Rodgers and Brett Favre.

There aren’t many people, even the most optimistic of Packers fans, who are expecting Hall of Fame results from Jordan Love. But, he is beginning to get a bit of a following in the media has analysts are hopping on the bandwagon.

The most recent person to join the Jordan Love hype train is ESPN’s Mike Greenberg. The diehard New York Jets fan is certainly happy that the Packers traded Rodgers, like Favre, to his team. But, he doesn’t believe that the Packers are being left in the dust. In fact, he believes quite the opposite.

On a recent episode of Get Up on ESPN, Greenberg had a strong take on the first-time starter. “I think Jordan Love is going to be a star,” said Greenberg about the Packers’ new starting quarterback.

That is certainly a bold take from Greenberg. He follows the NFL intently and as a Jets fan, he has seen what bad quarterbacking looks like plenty of times. To have that kind of confidence in Jordan Love is certainly telling.

The Packers and their fans are certainly hoping that Greenberg is correct in his assessment. The rest of the NFL, however, likely feels the opposite.
