Minnesota Vikings: 3 Key Matchups to Watch in Week 2 vs. Packers

Minnesota’s Pass Rush Against Aaron Rodgers

There is a chance that Aaron Rodgers could miss this week’s game due to the knee sprain that he suffered against the Bears. If that does happen, this point will go completely out the window. On the other hand, if he does play, the Vikings need to throw the pass rush at Rodgers as much as possible.

Anthony Barr and the Vikings’ defense are more than capable of putting pressure on any quarterback in the league. Green Bay has an offensive line that can be a bit inconsistent at times.

If Rodgers has trouble moving like he did in the second half against Chicago, things could get interesting. Remember, it was the Vikings who got to Rodgers last season and ended up breaking his collarbone.

Minnesota needs to do everything they can to make Rodgers feel uncomfortable in the pocket. Forcing him to move around will wear him out throughout the course of the game and could lead to forced passes and potential turnovers.
