New Update Shows Packers Have Legit Chance To Make Playoffs

The Green Bay Packers haven’t played their Week 15 game yet as they will be hosting the Los Angeles Rams coming to close out the week on Monday Night Football. Coming off of their bye, Green Bay should be about as healthy as can be for the stretch run of the season.

Injuries have really hampered the Packers, but they should be in better shape now. That week off should pay dividends for Aaron Rodgers, who has been dealing with a broken bone in his right hand and suffered an injury to his ribs against the Philadelphia Eagles in Week 12.

There has been some talk about Rodgers sitting out games, but until Green Bay is mathematically eliminated from the postseason, he is going to be out there. How much longer could they be alive for a spot in the playoffs? While there is still plenty of work to do, there is a real path to the postseason for them.

For starters, the Packers have to win their last four games of the season. That starts Monday against the Rams at Lambeau Field, followed by a visit to the Miami Dolphins and then two more home games against the Minnesota Vikings and Detroit Lions.

That is certainly not an easy stretch, as every team after the Rams are in the playoff hunt. There is a chance Green Bay isn’t favored in a game after Monday night for the remainder of the season. Winning all of those games is a must to make a run at the postseason, and then they will need a lot of help.

Two scenarios exist for the Packers to advance. They need the New York Giants to lose all three of their remaining games this season. New York picked up a huge victory on the road over the Washington Commanders on Sunday Night Football to put them in the driver’s seat for a Wild Card spot.

The Giants travel to Minnesota next week, host the Indianapolis Colts after that and finish their season on the road against the Philadelphia Eagles, who could very well have nothing to play for in the season finale. If the Giants win any of those games, the Packers are going to need help from the Commanders and Seattle Seahawks.

Green Bay would need Washington to lose two out of their final three games, which is certainly possible given their schedule. They travel to face the San Francisco 49ers next week before hosting the Cleveland Browns and Dallas Cowboys to finish off the season. Two losses by them combined with one loss in the final three games by Seattle, who goes on the road to face the Kansas City Chiefs before hosting the New York Jets and Los Angeles Rams, would result in a playoff appearance for Green Bay.

Surely, it is not an easy road to the postseason, but definitely a straightforward one. Green Bay has to handle business and continue winning games if they want to have any shot, as going undefeated in their next four games is a requirement in every playoff scenario for the Packers.
