Aaron Rodgers and the New York Jets are trying to win a Super Bowl right now, and Ohio State wide receiver Marvin Harrison Jr. may provide them with the best chance to do that.

Of course, the Jets pick 10th in the NFL Draft later this month, and the chances of Harrison actually being available at that spot are pretty much zero.

That’s why Mike Fanelli of Rotoballer feels that New York could trade up to acquire Harrison, who is widely expected to go in the top five.

The Jets entered the offseason with a major need at wide out, and they addressed the issue by signing Mike Williams in free agency. That gives Gang Green an impressive receiver duo of Garrett Wilson and Williams. However, Rodgers could always use some more weapons, especially if it comes in the form of Harrison.

Harrison is coming off of a spectacular 2023 campaign in which he hauled in 67 receptions for 1,211 yards and 14 touchdowns.

The 21-year-old arrived at Ohio State in 2021 and barely made an impact during his debut season, logging just 11 catches for 139 yards and three scores.

However, in his sophomore year, Harrison broke out, catching 77 passes for 1,263 yards while reaching the end zone 14 times.

Harrison is regarded by most as the best receiver in this year’s draft class, so his potential would certainly be tantalizing to a Jets team that is clearly all in on 2024.

But would trading up for Harrison be the best use of New York’s resources?

Even though the Jets made some additions along their offensive line this offseason, they are still in need of some help along that front, so it might be wiser for the club to select another tackle.

We’ll see what New York decides to do, but if it gets the opportunity to trade up for Marvin Harrison Jr., it may be too tempting for the Aaron Rodgers-led squad to ignore.
