After a strong performance against the Kansas City Chiefs, could New York Jets’ quarterback Zach Wilson find some momentum against the Denver Broncos?

Sunday Night Football was a wild one for the New York Jets. Coming into the game against the Kansas City Chiefs, the Jets were expected to get run off the field. Well, the game pretty much started like that, as the Jets were down 17-0 in the blink of an eye.

While many likely thought the Jets would have just rolled over, the team fought back and were very much in the game. The defense provided a spark to the team, as they were able to get a safety on Patrick Mahomes and force him into a few mistakes. Overall, the defense did well against the high-powered Chiefs, but the slow start did hurt the team.

With the defense giving the offense some opportunities, Zach Wilson and the Jets’ offense were able to have their best game of the season. For Zach Wilson, it might have been one of the best games of his career.

In the loss, Wilson totaled 245 passing yards, two touchdowns and completed over 70 percent of his passes. It was great to finally see Wilson looking comfortable in the offense, but a critical mistake on a shotgun snap did result in a lost fumble. Wilson took the blame for the loss, but he has to have some good confidence going into Week 5 against the Broncos.

With a 1-3 record for both the Broncos and the Jets, this is a must-win game. Neither team has the record that they may have thought this season, and the Broncos nearly lost to the Chicago Bears last week.

For Wilson, he must take advantage of the opportunity in front of him. The Broncos’ defense has been one of the worst in the league and Wilson must capitalize on that for the Jets to get the win.

After giving up 70 points to the Dolphins, the Broncos allowed 28 points against Justin Fields and a struggling Bears offense. Fields like Wilson has struggled a lot this season, but he was able to throw for over 300 passing yards and four touchdown passes against a weak Broncos defense.

With Wilson coming off a strong game, he must look to replicate it against the Broncos and find some momentum for not only this season, but his career moving forward. After a big game against the Chiefs, there really shouldn’t be any excuses for Wilson to play poorly in this one.
