NFL Free Agency 2020: 4 ideal landing spots for EDGE Markus Golden

Just last offseason, Markus Golden signed a one-year, prove-it deal with the New York Giants worth $3.75 million. The former second-round pick of the Arizona Cardinals wouldn’t disappoint, as he notched 10 sacks and 27 quarterback hits.

Following his spectacular debut season with the Giants, there is uncertainty on where Golden will be suiting up in 2020. It remains to be seen if New York is able to retain Golden, who is the first Giants outside linebacker to record 10+ sacks in a season since Lawrence Taylor achieved that mark in 1990.

Although the rare nature surrounding it, New York utilized the unrestricted free agent tender on Golden earlier this offseason. In doing so, the Giants will still recoup a compensatory pick if he signs elsewhere, or if he remains unsigned beyond July 22, he’ll remain under contract with them next season.

Therefore, with a month until that deadline arrives, the clock is ticking for Golden to find a new team. In the event that he isn’t with the Giants in 2020, here are four ideal landing spots for Golden.
