CeeDee Lamb
Heading into the 2020 NFL Draft, it wasn’t expected for the Dallas Cowboys to select a wide receiver in the first round. They ended up using a best player available approach and that just so happened to be former Oklahoma wide receiver CeeDee Lamb when they were on the clock.
It was already difficult for opposing teams to slow down Amari Cooper and Michael Gallup, but after adding Lamb into the mix, the Cowboys are set to have an even better passing attack in 2020. Simply put, they won’t be experiencing a drawback from Randall Cobb’s departure.
During his final season at Oklahoma, Lamb appeared in 13 games totaling 62 receptions, 1,327 yards, and 14 touchdowns. He proved to be an explosive playmaker while having the necessary skill-set to play different spots within the Sooners’ offense.
The role Lamb will likely play may limit the potential for statistical production as a rookie but he could very well be a game-changing talent. He will be able to play in various spots within the Cowboys’ offense and defenses won’t be able to slow him down without risking freeing up Cooper or Gallup more.
