NFL: 5 wide receivers listed as breakout candidates in 2020

The Houston Texans have held aspirations of contending but haven’t quite managed to achieve those kinds of results. In order to avoid continuing to come up short in the playoffs, they must maximize their offensive results to compete with some of the more explosive scoring teams in the AFC.

The Texans relied greatly on the individual excellence of DeAndre Hopkins and no longer have him. With the void of an elite receiver needing to be filled, it will take a complete effort from the unit as a whole. However, Fuller is a player, in particular, that needs to step up.

The production Fuller provided in 2019 doesn’t necessarily jump off the page but it serves as a solid foundation for next season. He appeared in 11 games and recorded 49 catches, 670 yards, and three touchdowns.

Considering how the Texans went out and added veteran contributors like Brandin Cooks and Randall Cobb to help shoulder the load, there may not be a drastic boost in targets for Fuller. He should end up receiving more involvement, nevertheless.
