One of the biggest needs for the Buffalo Bills during the 2024 offseason is to find some more help at wide receiver. They are overly reliant on Stefon Diggs making a play as none of the other players at the position have stepped up and performed consistently this season.
The Bills could look to the 2024 NFL Draft to address their needs, as there will be a lot of excellent pass-catching talent in this year’s class. In fact, in the opinion of one NFL analyst, there is a Diggs clone amongst the bunch.
In a recent piece over at ESPN, analysts and insiders made some player comps for prospects expected to be in the 2024 NFL Draft. Field Yates’ favorite comp is LSU wide receiver Malik Nabers to Diggs.
“Malik Nabers to Bills receiver Stefon Diggs. When you watch either of them play, they almost look like they’re gliding on the field. Their footwork is just incredible, and covering Nabers in man coverage — as is the case with Diggs too — is just a nightmare for corners,” wrote Yates.

After being a four-star recruit out of high school, Nabers put together a record-setting career at LSU. He will leave the school with the most receptions for a player in program history.
In three seasons, he caught 186 passes for 2,980 yards and 21 touchdowns. Nabers next step will likely be looking to follow in the footsteps of recent LSU stars Justin Jefferson and Ja’Marr Chase in the NFL.
Receiving a comparison to Diggs, one of the premier wide receivers in the NFL, is certainly some high praise for Nabers, who projects to be a first-round pick in April. He could be someone that the Bills have squarely on their radar, as they need some help at wide receiver and cloning the star they already have on the roster is something everyone would get behind.
It is still too early to know just how draft boards and the order will shake out. But, you can bet that wide receiver will be one of the positions which the Bills strongly consider with their first-round pick.
