4. Washington Redskins
The Redskins’ situation in the backfield is much like the Steelers. Adrian Peterson has had productive seasons in D.C., but he is past being the running back of the future. Derrius Guice has shown flashes of being a star when on the field. The only issue is, he has not been able to stay on the field.
Guice has missed significant time throughout his first two NFL seasons. This is an important season for Guice to show that he can be a franchise player in the backfield. It is also important for the Redskins to see that he can be that player. If not, there are other options available.
The Redskins are a young team that needs to come into their own. Dwayne Haskins is a work in progress. They have three second-year receivers that will be relied heavily on. Guice is another weapon that is still working on finding himself in the league. If the Redskins run out of patience with Guice, Aaron Jones could be a proven option that they need.
