5. Jacksonville Jaguars
Success is a double-edged sword in Jacksonville this season. Many are predicting Jacksonville to have the worst record in football this season. However, last season rookie Gardner Minshew looked like a bright young prospect. Minshew could still be a franchise QB. However, if the Jaguars do struggle they could land Trevor Lawrence, probably the best quarterback prospects since Andrew Luck.
Whatever the future holds in Jacksonville, if it includes Minshew or Lawrence, they’d both benefit from having a Keenan Allen. D.J. Chark flashed the ability to produce primary receiver numbers, however, he is at his best playing downfield. Allen would take the attention off Chark, give whichever young QB Jacksonville decides to go with another star receiver, and help this young offense flourish.
Much like the Dolphins, Jacksonville has multiple first-round picks next year and a ton of cap space after trading Nick Foles. Out of all the teams on this list, the Jaguars are the least likely to land Allen. However, drafting one of the top QB prospects in recent memory is something many receivers would drool over.
Allen could be a key veteran Jacksonville adds to help them out of the rebuilding process and into a possible contender.
