Dallas Cowboys

Is Dak Prescott the best quarterback in the division? He is certainly going to get paid like it. Dallas is paying their quarterback $31.4 million this season and it will be a lot more if they want to keep him around long term. Prescott took advantage of a Tony Romo injury in 2016 and has never looked back.

Prescott is a two-time Pro Bowler for the Cowboys. He was named the NFL’s Offensive Rookie of the Year and is 40-24 in the regular season. In the postseason, the Cowboys are 1-2 in two trips with Prescott under center. In 2019, Prescott finished with 4,902 yards with 30 touchdowns and 11 interceptions. The trade for Amari Cooper helped Prescott take his game to the next level and that should continue in 2020.

The Cowboys signed Cooper to a five-year, $100 million deal in March. They used their first round pick on Oklahoma standout CeeDee Lamb. Ezekiel Elliott is locked up and the offensive line is still solid. Prescott will have the chance to play under a new head coach for the first time in his career. Mike McCarthy was hired as head coach of the Cowboys after Jason Garrett was finally let go.

This is all good news for Prescott. The Cowboys led the NFL with 431.5 yards per game in 2019. Prescott was second in the league in passing yards. According to ESPN, Prescott is projected to finished with 4,290 yards with 27 touchdowns and 11 interceptions. He will add 248 yards and four touchdowns on the ground.

These numbers seem a bit low. With the supporting cast around him, it is hard to imagine that Prescott is not north of 4,500 yards and 30 touchdowns. He has always been an incredible individual talent in the league. Now, it will be about the team winning in the postseason.
