When the San Francisco 49ers and Dallas Cowboys met in Week 5, it was supposed to be a battle of potential Super Bowl contenders this NFL season.
Instead, it ended in a lopsided 42-10 blowout win for the 49ers. San Francisco improved to 5-0 with the victory. Meanwhile, the Cowboys, who began the season 2-0, dropped to 3-2.
Afterward, Cowboys linebacker Micah Parsons said, “If we see them again, just trust,” hinting that Dallas would get revenge on the Niners should the two squads meet in the playoffs for the third consecutive year come January.
49ers wide receiver Deebo Samuel responded to Parsons on the Up and Adams Show this week, saying “it was already personal” between the two sides.
“I don’t think you want to see us again,” said Samuel. “I think it might be a little bit worse.”
