Cowboys – Can They Defeat Winning Teams?
A critical reason the Dallas Cowboys underachieved as a team en route to missing the playoffs was an inability to execute against winning teams. That must change in the 2020 NFL season if they want to succeed.
It wasn’t until the Cowboys faced another underachieving team in the Los Angeles Rams in mid-December that they finally defeated an opponent with a winning record–finishing the year with a 2-6 record in such matchups.
Between beating up bad teams and rallying late during losses helped the Cowboys significantly when it came to producing their impressive overall offensive figures. They must execute when it matters against the better teams on their schedule.
For Dak Prescott to be able to command whatever contract he wants next offseason, it’s important he dispels any concern regarding his ability to lead his team to wins when it matters most.
