Giants – Can Their Weapons Stay Healthy?
Many felt as though the New York Giants reached when they decided to use the No. 6 overall pick in the 2019 NFL Draft to take Daniel Jones. He has dispelled some of his critics early on and could set to make a second-year leap.
While there’s still plenty any young quarterback can improve with Jones being no exception to that. For the Giants’ quarterback, in particular, it starts with cutting down on the alarming number of turnovers he recorded last season.
Entering the 2020 season with previous NFL experience should naturally help Jones. Additionally, having both Evan Engram and Golden Tate to start in Week 1 will undoubtedly make Jones’ job easier as well. Both players dealt with injuries at times last season.
For Jones to continue his development and move up the hierarchy of starting quarterbacks in the NFL, it’s important his receiving options stay on the field. Engram stands out as being a matchup problem and at tight end, that opens up the offense significantly.
