Jacksonville Jaguars
It’s expected to be a tough season for the Jacksonville Jaguars in 2020. While they could be well-positioned to win the Trevor Lawrence sweepstakes, there still needs to be an emphasis on protecting current quarterback Gardner Minshew.
The Jaguars didn’t look to overhaul their offensive line in the offseason and that is an issue considering it was among the worst in the NFL in 2019. It’s a gradual process to build up the trenches and Jacksonville clearly still is in the early stages.
There remains real uncertainty at the Jaguars’ left tackle spot as a result. Jacksonville will need to decide whether Cam Robinson or Will Richardson is best suited to start at this spot.
The most likely outcome appears to be that Robinson will earn the starting od at left tackle but he hasn’t been the most consistent of players since entering the NFL in 2017. That’s why Richardson is positioned to at least be a serious challenger to Robinson.
