Trent Murphy, Buffalo Bills
Since signing on with the Buffalo Bills back in 2018 he’s been underwhelming statistically for the defense. And in his final year of his three-year contract, it’s likely the team is going to move on form him before the season begins.
In his two years since being with the Bills he’s compiled nine sacks. That’s the same amount he came away with in his final season with the Washington Redskins. He’s not the same player since his 2017 injury where he tore both his ACL and MCL. In doing so, he’s become less of a difference maker on the edge and more of a role player.
Murphy can still contribute to an NFL team that needs depth at pass rusher. But it will need to be a team that’s willing to take on the near $10 million cap on his deal.
