When the Giants were on the clock at No. 6 in the 2019 NFL Draft, some fans believed they should take Dwayne Haskins. Instead, New York took Jones and the Redskins ended up snagging Haskins with the No. 15 pick in the first round.

Similar to Jones, Haskins wouldn’t begin the season as the starting quarterback after failing to win the starting job in training camp. Nonetheless, he would make his first career start in Week 9 versus the Buffalo Bills. For the most part, Haskins would struggle in his rookie season, completing just 58.6 percent of his passes and throwing seven interceptions in nine games.

In his defense though, the Redskins were a complete mess, putting Haskins in a less-than-ideal situation as a rookie. At the least, he would finish the season strong, throwing for 564 yards, five touchdowns, and one interception in his final three starts of the season. Now, as the day-one starter in 2020, Haskins is prepared to prove his doubters wrong.
