Arizona Cardinals: Kenyan Drake
Exit David Johnson. Enter DeAndre Hopkins. This was the blockbuster trade that shook the NFL in the offseason. This leaves Kenyan Drake as the starter in Kliff Kingsbury’s Air Raid offensive attack.
Drake spent the beginning of his career with the Miami Dolphins before being traded to Arizona in 2019. the Cardinals placed the transition tag on Drake which will bring him back as the team’s feature running back.
In 2019, Drake played eight games with the Cardinals, making eight starts. He rushed for 643 yards and eight touchdowns. Drake is a capable receiver out of the backfield and has a chance to flourish in Kingsbury’s offense.
A full offseason and guaranteed starting spot will be good for Drake. If he plays 16 games, he will get 200+ carries. Drake can rush for 1,000 yards and 10 touchdowns this season while adding 55 catches and 400 yards receiving with three touchdowns. This puts Drake in the top 10 in fantasy running backs worthy of an RB2 spot.
