Case Keenum, Cleveland Browns
The Cleveland Browns were one of the most active teams in free agency, adding players that fit what new head coach Kevin Stefanski was searching for. Among the players that the Browns signed, they bolstered their quarterback room by signing veteran Case Keenum.
Last season, Keenum started in eight games for the Washington Redskins, throwing for 1,707 yards and 11 touchdowns. Just two season before his one year with the Redskins, Keenum has the best season of his career with the Minnesota Vikings — when Stefanski was the quarterbacks coach in Minnesota.
Now, with the Browns, Keenum is expected to provide insurance behind Baker Mayfield whilst helping him learn Stefanski’s offense. If Mayfield fails to show progress in 2020, then Cleveland has a solid No. 2 option in Keenum.
