Jacoby Brissett, Indianapolis Colts
Once the 2019 season came to a conclusion, it was evident that the Indianapolis Colts were going to replace Jacoby Brissett as the team’s starting quarterback. Near the beginning of free agency, the Colts inked a deal with veteran Philip Rivers, reuniting him with Frank Reich and Nick Sirianni.
With the arrival of Rivers, Brissett will become the backup quarterback — a role he is familiar with from when Andrew Luck was the starter. In his first seven starts in 2019, Brissett threw for 1,590 yards, 14 touchdowns, and three interceptions.
Sadly, a knee injury would derail Brissett’s impressive start to the season, causing his starting job to be put into jeopardy. Even though Rivers is going to be the starter in 2020, Brissett is more than capable of starting if the Colts need him to.
