With the Chicago Bears starting the season 0-3, could Justin Fields be traded if they continue to struggle?

It has not been a promising start to the season for the Chicago Bears. With an 0-3 record and not a lot of hope on the horizon, it seems like the Bears are destined to be picking in the Top-5 once again.

While the record for the Bears is certainly disappointing, the play of their quarterback, Justin Fields, has been very concerning for his potential moving forward. So far this season, Fields has totaled 526 passing yards, three passing touchdowns, and four interceptions. Fields hasn’t seen much success on the ground either with his legs running the football.

With the Bears and Fields struggling, there has already started to be talk about the Bears potentially moving on from him. Recently, Destin Adams spoke on X about the Atlanta Falcons potentially being a fit for him.

Since Fields was a high pick, he will likely get a few more years and opportunities to have success in the NFL. Whether or not that is with the Bears remains to be seen. Furthermore, if the Bears have a top pick this season, they could look to get a talented quarterback in the draft.

Like the Bears, the Falcons have some issues at the quarterback position, as they have been using Desmond Ridder this season. So far this season, Ridder has totaled 553 passing yards, two passing touchdowns, and one interception.

For the Falcons, their passing attack has been very conservative with Ridder so far this season. While they have a good defense and a good rushing attack, the offense feels one-dimensional for the Falcons.

We will have to wait and see what the rest of the season holds for Ridder, Fields, the Falcons, and the Bears. If struggles continue for Fields this season, the Bears very well may look to draft a new quarterback and make Fields available. If that becomes the case, keep an eye on the Falcons’ quarterback situation.
