Clark Will Live Up to Contract

Kenny Clark recently signed a massive contract extension with the Packers. Green Bay decided that Clark had done enough during his first few years on the team that he warranted big money. As the NFL’s highest-paid nose tackle, he’s going to need to make a big impact immediately.

Clark will have the opportunity this year to either live up to the billing or end up becoming a huge bust. Based on all of his past work, he should continue being the top player on the Green Bay defense. The selling card of Clark is his ability to stop the run.

With teams having a shortened offseason the timing in the passing game might take a little longer to get in sync. With teams relying on the run game, Clark will have the chance to post monster numbers.

It wouldn’t be surprising to see Clark post career-best numbers in key categories when considering the circumstances. Teams will have to account for the various impressive edge rushers on Green Bay’s defense–making it easier for him to capitalize.
