If the Packers are going to get the leap they need from Marquez Valdes-Scantling, they are going to need at least 50 receptions. He doesn’t have to turn into a star in 2020, but they need to see leaps and bounds of improvement.

Catching just 26 passes in 2019 wasn’t close to making the cut. Some even ventured to say that the Packers should look to trade the 25-year-old wideout this offseason. Instead, Green Bay has decided to give him another year to prove himself.

Racking up 50 receptions would be a big step in the right direction. It would show more consistency and an ability to be a No. 2 receiver behind Davante Adams. That kind of production would take a lot of pressure off of the rest of the offense.
