Dante Pettis
During the 2020 NFL Draft, the San Francisco 49ers traded Marquise Goodwin to the Philadelphia Eagles. With Goodwin gone, the 49ers now have to figure out what they want to do with Dante Pettis.
Pettis, a second-round pick in the 2018 NFL Draft, had a decent rookie campaign, hauling in 27 passes for 467 yards and five touchdowns. But in his sophomore season in the NFL, Pettis basically fell out of the rotation of Kyle Shanahan’s offense, contributing only 11 receptions, 109 yards, and two touchdowns in 2019.
At 24 years old, Pettis still has a chance to become a formidable wide receiver in the league. Maybe a change of scenery — to the Packers — could allow Pettis to finally show the potential he has at wide receiver. Though, it is uncertain if San Francisco would entertain the idea of trading Pettis to Green Bay — the team they faced in the NFC Championship Game last year.
