3. Sign Taylor Gabriel

Gabriel has been in the league for six years. He has spent two years each with the Cleveland Browns, Atlanta Falcons, and Chicago Bears. Gabriel does not have a team for the 2020 season. In 2019, he played in nine games and finished with 29 catches for 353 yards.

New England is in need of help at the skill positions. This is why they were unable to advance in the playoffs last season. Outside of Julian Edelman, the Patriots will feature N’Keal Harry and Mohamed Sanu Sr.

They will also have two rookie tight ends looking to make an impact. Gabriel is the type of receiver that could thrive in Belichick’s system.

Newton will need some weapons on the outside. In the backfield, Michel is dealing with an injury and his status for Week 1 is up in the air. The Patriots depth at the wide receiver position is nonexistent and Gabriel would help this issue immediately.
