The Philadelphia Eagles have lost five of their last six games entering the playoffs, but center Jason Kelce is not hitting the panic button just yet.

When asked what went wrong in the Eagles’ embarrassing 27-10 loss to the New York Giants in the season finale, Kelce said that Philadelphia “just didn’t handle the blitz” well and that the team simply needs to figure out what went wrong in its “execution.”

“I don’t think we need to do a whole complete shift or revamp of the offense,” Kelce said on WIP. “I think we need to do some things better and put ourselves in better situations — coaches and players. The reality is the plays that we have in and have been doing all year are ones that we can have success with and have had success with.”

The problem is, Philly hasn’t had a whole lot of success for the last month-and-a-half.

In four of the Eagles’ last five losses, they scored under 20 points four times. Their passing offense finished a very pedestrian 16th in the NFL, and they are now dealing with injuries to Jalen Hurts, A.J. Brown and DeVonta Smith. Head coach Nick Sirianni said he hopes to have all three players on the field for the club’s Wild Card Round matchup with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers next Monday, but whether or not they are all 100 percent is another question entirely.

Philadelphia’s collapse has been strange, to say the least.

The Eagles were 10-1 heading into Week 13 and were viewed as favorites to win the Super Bowl. However, they proceeded to get annihilated by the San Francisco 49ers, 42-19, at home, and it has been all downhill ever since for the defending NFC champions.

We’ll see if Jason Kelce and Co. can make things right against the Buccaneers next week.
