1. Dallas Cowboys
The Dallas Cowboys have one of the most exciting offenses on paper in the entire NFL. quarterback Dak Prescott has turned into a major star and franchise quarterback after falling to the fourth round in the 2016 draft. Ezekiel Elliot has stepped in from day one and been the top running back in the league running behind an incredibly talented offensive line.
The Cowboys already had Amari Cooper and Michael Gallup as weapons for Dak but went ahead and added CeeDee Lamb to the mix in the draft. Dallas can do it all on offense. They can play fast or slow, air it out or pound the ball on the ground, spread the ball around, or hammer you with one player over and over.
The defense is where the most question marks remain, especially after the season-ending injury to Gerald McCoy. Dallas will need DeMarcus Lawrence to get back to recording 10+ sacks a year now that he is the focus on the defensive line again. In other divisions unlike the NFC East, the suspect defense might be more of an issue, but being able to play New York and Washington twice should give enough of a buffer for the Cowboys to put together some nice wins.
With Dak fighting for a contract extension, this could be the best year yet out of the young quarterback, and elevating Dallas to an NFC East title will certainly help his negotiations.
