The NFC East has been dominated by the rivalry between the Philadelphia Eagles and the Dallas Cowboys in recent years, with the two teams alternating division titles for the last 4 years. 2020 looks to continue that trend with a wide gap existing between the Eagles and Cowboys at the top and the New York Giants and Washington Football Team at the bottom.
Philadelphia and Dallas added some key players during the offseason through free agency, the draft, and getting players healthy. Both teams have their sights set on Super Bowl runs, believing they have the personnel to compete with anyone in the NFL.
Washington and New York are entering year two with their hopeful franchise quarterbacks and are hoping to see big developments from the young play callers. Both were able to select towards the top of the 2020 NFL Draft and came away with players who are going to be asked to step into big roles immediately.
The NFC East will most likely be a two-horse race for the winner, with the second-place team hoping for a wild card birth in the playoffs. The Giants and Washington are still a year or more away from really competing but hope to make big strides this season.
