Rams: 5 Ways Los Angeles Can Beat the Chiefs in Week 11

USA TODAY Sports

No Turnovers on Offense

When you play teams who can put up points like the Chiefs, you cannot afford to turn the ball over. The Rams should have learned this in their meeting against the New Orleans Saints.

In that game, Jared Goff threw an interception late in the 2nd quarter, that changed the whole dynamic of the game. The Saints turned that interception into 7 points, of course winning the game 45-35 when it was finished.

Who knows how the game would have played out, had Goff not turned the ball over right before halftime. This week, the Rams will need to have that same mindset facing the high-powered Chiefs.

Turnovers haven’t been an issue at all for Goff this season, but in this game, they become more critical. He’s only thrown six interceptions, while the Chiefs rank 4th in the NFL in interceptions (11 interceptions) this season.

Something has to budge, hopefully in the Rams favor. The loss of Cooper Kupp hurts, but this Rams offense is still jam-packed with elite talent.

Goff is playing like an MVP candidate and will need to continue to do so in Week 11. Eyes will be on the third-season quarterback, with everyone watching the matchup of him against Mahomes.

Goff and the Rams will need to limit their turnovers if they hope to compete with the Chiefs, who have taken advantage of turnovers all year.
