Who Will Win The Backup Tight End Job?

Jared Cook has the starting tight end job locked down for the Saints this season. He is one of the most underrated tight ends in the game and is going to have another solid season in New Orleans.

However, the Saints will need to figure out who their No. 2 tight end is going to be. Sean Payton loves utilizing multiple tight ends in offensive packages, which makes this an important position.

Josh Hill seems to be the favorite to win the job, but Adam Trautman could give him a run for his money. Trautman is a rookie that was taken in the third round of the 2020 NFL Draft.

The rookie is going to see some time this season, but winning the No. 2 job would give him much more playing time than playing behind both Cook and Hill.
