The Legion of Boom was one of the most exciting times to watch the Seahawks. With a shutdown defense that had enough swagger for the entire NFL, the Seattle secondary was one of the best to ever be on the field together. Unfortunately, those days are long gone.

Instead, the team has been struggling to find consistency and production from their secondary. Jamal Adams looks to be the biggest addition to a new-look defense.

Jamal Adams is a great safety who was in a bad situation. He scored an 87.9 according to Pro Football Focus which is an extremely high score. Adams will be asked to do a lot in his new role on the Seahawks. He will be asked to help lock down half of the field, play man to man, support the run, rush the quarterback, be a defensive leader, and create turnovers.

The reason Pete Carroll can ask so much of Adams is that he has proven he can produce at a high level doing everything necessary. Adams made it clear that he wanted to play for a winner. He will continue to elevate the Seahawks turning them from winning games and making the playoffs, to winning the division.
