4. Legion of Boom Pt. II
The Seahawks finished fifth in the league in 2019 with 16 interceptions. The addition of Jamal Adams could bring fans back to some of the most memorable days of the franchise.
The image of Richard Sherman swatting away a last-second Colin Kaepernick pass will forever be enshrined by Seattle. Sherman declared the secondary “L.O.B” in the postgame interview.
The Seahawks have secondary that is capable of leading the league in interceptions this season. Adams will be the leader along with Quandre Diggs. Shaquill Griffin and Tre Flowers will make an impact at cornerback. Quinton Dunbar will also be in the mix if he is allowed to play in 2020. The Seahawks finished nine interceptions behind the league-leading New England Patriots and just one behind third place.
Seattle will not run out a secondary the likes of Sherman, Earl Thomas, and Kam Chancellor, but they have a solid group in 2020. Not to mention one of the best linebackers in the league in Bobby Wagner. The Seahawks would love to get back to the days of their dominant defense and the Adams’ trade could bring them closer to that.
