2. D.K. Metcalf Totals 80 Catches, 1,200 Yards
The Seahawks landed a first round talent with the 64th overall pick in the 2019 NFL Draft. This is where they landed D.K. Metcalf and he did not disappoint over his rookie season. Metcalf finished with 58 catches for 900 yards and seven touchdowns. He averaged 15.5 yards per reception.
Metcalf is ready. He is a big, physical receiver with all the tools to be successful. Metcalf is a strong route runner and has the speed to beat his defender off the line. Wilson is going to use Metcalf a lot this season.
Last season, Metcalf was targeted 100 times in 2019 and that number should skyrocket during his second year. He has an extremely high ceiling. In this offense, there is no doubt that he can catch 80 balls for north of 1,200 yards. His touchdown production depends on how he is used in the red zone.
A.J. Brown, Terry McLaurin, Deebo Samuel. There were many rookie receivers that broke out in 2019. Metcalf could arguably be the best one. He will look to prove that in 2020 and prove that every team in the league made a mistake by passing on him in the draft.
