New England Patriots
The Tom Brady era is officially over for the New England Patriots but that doesn’t mean they won’t be looking to contend in 2020. That perception has only built as of late considering the team elected to sign the winner of the 2015 MVP Cam Newton to a one-year deal.
There is reason for intrigue surrounding the Patriots’ receiver depth chart between Julian Edelman, Mohamed Sanu, N’Keal Harry, and Marqise Lee. However, the durability concerns of Sanu and Harry should prompt New England to look for a big-target like Terrelle Pryor as insurance.
It’s especially important for the Patriots to be well-stocked on big-bodied receivers because Newton likes throwing to them often. Especially with less than steller tight end talent, emphasizing adding size at the receiver spot could help keep New England afloat under adversity.
