Eagles: Inside Linebacker

After rallying late in the season to win the NFC East, the Philadelphia Eagles will be looking to pick up where they left off in 2020. There is a particular part of their roster that still stands out as a weakness and that’s the inside linebacker position.

There was an effort from the Eagles to add some talent at inside linebacker during the NFL Draft but that may not bring enough immediate impact. They used the third round to add Davion Taylor from Colorado and then took Shaun Bradley out of Temple in the sixth round.

Philadelphia signed Jatavis Brown in free agency and he is coming off a season that featured him losing his starting job with the Los Angeles Chargers. The Eagles are also aiming for Jalen Mills to play in more of a hybrid box safety role.

There is potential for one of their rookies to hit the ground running after going under the radar but overall, what they’ve done this offseason at this position doesn’t seem to be enough.
