Redskins: Tight End
After moving on from Jordan Reed to clear cap space, the Washington Redskins continue to face more questions than answers when it comes to the tight end position. That still would have been the case had they kept Reed given his concussion history.
The current landscape of the Redskins’ tight end group features plenty of uncertainty. They will need either Logan Thomas, Richard Rodgers, or Jeremy Sprinkle to step up and solidify themself as a starting tight end.
Washington wasn’t dealt a favorable hand when it came to addressing the tight end position this offseason. This year’s draft class was considered one of the worst tight end crops in recent memory by many and the free agency landscape was underwhelming, too.
Aside from Terry McLaurin, there is a real lack for reliable targets for Dwayne Haskins to turn to in the Redskins’ passing game. The options at the tight end spot certainly won’t make things easier for the second-year quarterback.
