Last September, the Seattle Seahawks traded for three-time Pro Bowl pass rusher Jadeveon Clowney with the hope that he’d be a dominant force for Pete Carroll’s defense.
While Clowney certainly had his moments in 2019, he didn’t truly live up to expectations, and now he’s set to become an unrestricted free agent. Losing Clowney after just one season — a season in which he missed a handful of games due to injury — would not be ideal for Seattle.
Obviously, Seattle’s front office is going to prioritize Clowney this offseason. Despite having a down year, he’s still only going to be 27-years-old next season and has rare athleticism for a defensive end.
