What To Expect From Kirk Cousins In Week 1
Even though the Vikings ended up trading Stefon Diggs, the offense has the potential to be very special. Justin Jefferson was drafted in the first round of the 2020 NFL Draft to help replace him and Bisi Johnson has the talent to be an impact player as well.
Of course, the Vikings still have Adam Thielen as their No. 1 wideout. Dalvin Cook is back as well and should have another big year on the ground. Cousins also has both Kyle Rudolph and Irv Smith Jr. to work with at tight end.
Looking at the Packers’ defense, Cousins will have to go up against a very talented cornerback duo of Jaire Alexander and Kevin King. Green Bay also talented safeties in Adrian Amos and Darnell Savage Jr. From a pass-rushing perspective, Preston Smith and Za’Darius are a lethal duo.
Cousins will have a tough matchup this week, but that doesn’t mean that he will have a bad game.
It would be reasonable to expect Cousins to throw for 275 yards, two touchdowns, and an interception. They aren’t huge numbers, but they are solid. Minnesota will put up enough production to have a chance to take this game.
All of that being said, the Vikings and Packers always put on an entertaining game. It is a bitter rivalry between two talented teams that have a chance to make a playoff run. However, if you’re looking at Kirk Cousins from a Fantasy Football perspective, this is a game to be careful with.
