2. Haskins Will Throw For 4,000 Yards
Dwayne Haskins showed off his arm talent during his one year as the starter at Ohio State. He threw for 4,831 yards and 50 touchdowns while completing 70% of his passes. During his rookie year, Haskins showed off his arm strength and ability to make many throws.
The state of Washington’s offense is up and coming. Terry McLaurin showed signs of being a No. 1 receiver when he finished with 58 catches for 919 yards and seven touchdowns. Steven Sims and Antonio Gibson will act as versatile receivers that can play in the slot or take handoffs and carry the ball. Kelvin Harmon will miss the 2020 season with a torn ACL but the addition of 6’4 Antonio Gandy-Golden will give Haskins another weapon.
Rivera brought Scott Turner over to be the new offensive coordinator. He is a coach that likes to throw the ball and Haskins has no problem airing it out. Let’s not forget that Washington will be behind in many games which means they will have to pass at a high rate. With all factors being considered, Haskins could go over 4,000 yards in year two.
