2. Washington Does Not Finish Last in NFC East

The Washington Football Team is way down on the power rankings and for good reason. They are a young team with plenty of holes that will struggle in 2020. In the NFC East, they are not alone.

The Eagles an Dallas Cowboys will be battling for the division title all season long. This leaves just one other team, the Giants. New York is in the same boat as Washington is regards to their quarterback.

Both Haskins and Daniel Jones are second-year guys looking to take the next step. When looking at the rosters, the Giants have a clear leg up at the running back position but there is not much separation anywhere else.

On paper, the defense in Washington is better than that in New York. Both offensive lines are thin and the talent at wide receiver is unknown. If Evan Engram can be consistent, the Giants will also have an edge at tight end.

One area where Washington holds a lead is on the sidelines. Both teams hire new head coaches and Washington hit the jackpot with Ron Rivera. He is the clear choice over Joe Judge.

Both Washington and New York will be teams under .500 picking in the top 10 once again in 2021. They are rebuilding squads that could switch spots in the standings this season.
