Washington Redskins: 3 Reasons They Can Win the NFC East in 2018

The Rest of the Division Appears to Be Down

In addition to the playmakers the Redskins have on both sides of the ball, they also have the added benefit of playing in what looks to be one of the league’s weakest divisions.

The Eagles are coming off a Super Bowl win, but haven’t looked nearly as impressive as they did in 2017. Then again, they just got starting quarterback Carson Wentz back on Sunday, so it’s hard to say what difference he will make as opposed to Nick Foles going forward (I’m aware Foles played a role in Philadelphia’s Super Bowl win last season, but Wentz is still the franchise quarterback).

The rest of the NFC East definitely looks weak, though. The Dallas Cowboys and New York Giants usually fight for the top spot in the division, but will likely be resigned to trying not to finish last in 2018.

As a result, the division appears to be there for the taking for the Redskins. They have more than enough talent on offense and defense to keep pace with the Eagles, which should give them a legitimate chance to win the NFC East.
