Provides Consistent Contributions
For a team like the Cleveland Browns seeking to improve their offense, receiving consistent contributions from key players is vital. That’s an area where Austin Hooper will help considering what he has shown during his time with the Atlanta Falcons.
As Andrew Gribble of the Browns’ official website noted, Hooper managed to be one of the more consistent tight ends in the NFL last season. He received at least five targets in each of his 13 appearances and hauled in four catches in each of his performances aside from two.
It’s seemingly inevitable that Hooper will receive fewer targets during his first season with the Browns compared to what his role with the Falcons provided. Regardless, his presence will provide Cleveland with needed layers to their offense.
When factoring in the Browns have a talented receiver duo with Odell Beckham Jr. and Jarvis Landry, adding in Hooper will make Cleveland’s offense tough to stop. They will be able to set the tone for the passing game helping Baker Mayfield en route to a bounce-back season.
