Josh Gordon is a name that once struck fear in the hearts of opposing defensive coordinators. He was an absolute stud with the Cleveland Browns when he wasn’t running into off-the-field troubles. Then, his career was expected to be resurrected with the New England Patriots, but he got into trouble again.
Last season, the Patriots made the move to release Gordon and he landed with the Seattle Seahawks. Once again, off-the-field issues got the best of him.
Now, Gordon is a free agent and no one has decided to give him a chance just yet. However, he does have something going in his favor. The NFL has made a change to their rules on marijuana, which is Gordon’s Achilles heel, and suspensions will no longer be handed down for that infraction.
With that, Gordon becomes a much more attractive option for teams looking for help at the wide receiver position. He may be 29 years old now, but he has very little wear and tear on his body. Gordon is still capable of being an impact player.
All of that being said, let’s take a look at five teams that should consider signing Gordon prior to the start of the 2020 NFL season.
