Round 7, Pick 211: Raequan Williams (IDL, Michigan State)
To the dismay of die-hard Rams fans, it’s becoming a reality that Michael Brockers could have already played his final down with the organization that drafted him in 2012. Brockers is the only non-special teams player that remains on the roster from the 2012 season
Over the course of his career, Brockers has been severely underrated as he’s missed just five games in his eight years in the NFL. Since Brockers could be on his way out of Los Angeles, the team should look to find someone that could fill his position.
In the final round of the draft, Raequan Williams would be an intriguing prospect for the Rams to take. As a four-year starter at Michigan State, Williams put together his most complete season in 2019.
The interior defensive lineman notched a career-best five sacks, 7.5 tackles for loss, and a forced fumble to finish out his collegiate career. Despite lacking in explosiveness, Williams is a short-yardage defender that has upside as a pass rusher at the next level.
