Colts Have Substantial Cap Space

The Indianapolis Colts will enter the 2021 offseason with a substantial amount of salary cap spending room at their disposal. Granted, they will need to keep some of that open to eventually hand out contract extensions to key players, but still, they’ll be able to add talent.

Based on the current landscape of the Colts’ cap table, they are projected to have roughly $113.9 million in cap room for the 2021 league-year. Regardless of the impacts of Covid-19 on the league-wide salary cap, Indianapolis will have options.

Again, it doesn’t seem logical for the Colts to not be willing to get a deal done with T.Y. Hilton because of his contributions to the team over the years. He remains a high-level receiver and those aren’t easy to find.

If the Colts want to gear up substantially for 2021 with offensive talent, they could make the most of players like Pittman Jr and Taylor being on rookie deals. That would give Indianapolis room with
