2. Avery Williamson

Williamson is an intriguing player moving forward. He will play one more year for the New York Jets before hitting free agency. That is if the team does not decide to cut him to save cap. Williamson signed a three-year, $22.5 million deal with the Jets in 2018.

If the team cuts Williamson, they will save $8.5 million in cap space. This also rings true if the Jets it him in a deal. The Eagles should have Williamson on a board and track his move.

If the Jets cut him prior to the 2020 season, then they could get his services a year early. Also, they could sign him for a lesser contract than the Jets. If he plays out the year, Philadelphia will have their chance in free agency.

The Eagles could use some help at linebacker. This is a position where they are strong enough to play in 2020, but will need reinforcements moving forward. Williamson is a name that will not cost much and will bring production on a weekly basis. This is one of the most intriguing names to keep an eye on.
