3. D.J. Hayden

Hayden is in the final year of a three-year, $19 million deal with the Jacksonville Jaguars. He will be 31-years old when he enters free agency in 2021 and it is time for him to get out of Jacksonville. Hayden will have a chance to join a contender for the final years of his career.

The Eagles will have many parts of their secondary hitting free agency following the season. Sidney Jones, Jalen Mills, Rasul Douglas, and Cre’Von LeBlanc will all be on the market in 2021. The Eagles made a deal for Slay but adding another corner would solidify their secondary and give them comfort on the outside. Hayden is a player that would complement Slay on the other side.

Hayden has played for three teams throughout his career. He would be smart to hit the free agent market and get out of Jacksonville given the current state of the franchise.

The Eagles’ defense has made great strides but they are not perfect. They have holes and one could be filled with the addition of a corner in free agency next season. There will be other names on the market but Hayden could provide the best value when you consider contract plus production.
